This SD-WAN lab practical will show you how to configure Feature Templates for OSPF for VPN0. You can practice along with this practical using our SD-WAN virtual lab.
1. Use the existing Device Template (BR-VE-TEMP) and attach cloud devices vEdge3 and vEdge4
2. Configure the variable parameters for vEdge3
● Interface IP for ge0/2: 192.168.6.1/24
● Default Gateway for VPN0: 172.16.4.1
● Interface IP for ge0/1: 172.16.6.2/24
● Interface IP for ge0/0: 172.16.4.2/24
● Hostname: vEdge3
● System IP: 172.16.4.23
● Site ID: 3
3. Configure the variable parameters for vEdge4
● Interface IP for ge0/2: 172.16.7.1/24
● Default Gateway for VPN0: 10.1.4.1
● Interface IP for ge0/1: 192.168.7.2/24
● Interface IP for ge0/0: 10.1.4.2/24
● Hostname: vEdge3
● System IP: 172.16.4.23
● Site ID: 4
We already have an existing Device Template – BR-VE-TEMP, we need to attach both vEdge3 and vEdge4. Go to vManage and navigate to Configuration-> Templates-> Device and click on edit
On the left plane scroll down and select vEdge3 and vEdge4 and bring them on the right plane.
Once the device are on the right plane click on Attach to continue
Edit the Device Template for vEdge3
Fill the IP addresses of Interfaces of vEdge3, hostname, System IP and Site ID. Note that first IP address field is for Ge0/2 followed by Ge0/1 and Ge0/0 as depicted in the screenshot below
Similarly edit Device Template for vEdge4 and enter the IP addresses, hostname, System IP and Site ID
Both Device templates are edited and can be seen as below. Click on Next to continue
Now review the configuration of each vEdge4 and vEdge3 configurations and click on configure devices to continue
It asks for confirmation that the configuration changes are for 2 devices. Click on OK to continue
It will take some time (2-4 minutes) to schedule the configuration on vEdge3 and vEdge4, and shows the status as In progress
Now it is showing status as Success that means configuration has been pushed to vEdge3 and vEdge4 devices
You can verify that the same configuration has been applied on vEdge3 and vEdge4 devices
You can also check the on Site-3 or Site-4 routers, they are forming OSPF neighborships with vEdge3 and vEdge4 respectively and receiving routes from other Sites
Site-4 router has the connectivity to other sites loopback IP addresses
