This SD-WAN lab practical will show you how to configure Feature Templates for OSPF for VPN0. You can practice along with this practical using our SD-WAN virtual lab.

Tasks 

1. Configure a VPN Template for VPN0 to be used by vEdge1 with the following parameters  

Template Name: HQ-VE-VPN-VPN0  

Description: HQ-VE-VPN-VPN0-Description 

Basic Configuration  

✓ VPN0-> Global: 0  

✓ Name-> Global: Transport VPN IPv4 Route  

✓ Prefix-> Global: 0.0.0.0/0  

✓ Next Hop-> Device Specific 

2. Configure a VPN Interface Template for VPN0 for interface Ge0/0 to be used by HQ vEdge1 with the following parameters  

Template Name: HQ-VE-VPNINT-VPN0-G0  

Description: HQ-VE-VPNINT-VPN0-G0-Description  

Basic Configuration

✓ Shutdown-> Global: No  

✓ Interface Name-> Global: ge0/0  

✓ IPv4 Address-> Static-> Device Specific  

Tunnel  

✓ Tunnel Interface-> Global: On  

✓ Color-> Default  

Allow Service  

✓ All-> Global: On 

✓ BGP-> Global: On  

✓ NETCONF-> Global: On  

✓ SSH-> Global: On 

3. Configure a BGP Template for VPN0 to be used by HQ vEdge1 with the following parameters 

Template Name: HQ-VE-BGP-VPN0  

Description: HQ-VE-BGP-VPN0  

Basic Configuration  

✓ Shutdown-> Global: No  

✓ AS Number->Global: 65001  

Neighbor 

✓ Address->Global: 10.1.1.2  

✓ Remote AS->Global: 65001  

✓ Address Family->Global: On  

✓ Address Family->Global: IPv4-Unicast

Configuration and Verification 

Configure a VPN Template for VPN0 to be used by HQ vEdge1 with the following parameters which is given in task. This is the path to create the Template Setting>Configuration >Templates >Feature >vEdge Cloud >VPN >VPN

Here we are going to configure VPN as show in below image.

Here we are entering the parameters of VPN0 which is given on our task

Select VPN as Global 0 and name as Transport VPN IPv4 Route

Now configure IPv4 Route click on New IPv4 Route select Prefix as Global 0.0.0.0/0 and click on Add next Hop

Now click on add next hop

Address select as Device Specific and click on add

Click on save to continue

Here we are able to see HQ-VPN0 template is created

Now Configure a VPN Interface Template for VPN0 for interface Ge0/0 to be used by HQ vEdge1 with the following parameters. This is given in our task.

This is the path to create the Template Setting>Configuration >Templates >Feature >vEdge Cloud >VPN >VPN Interface Ethernet.

Enter the details for VPN0 as given.

Select the details as given Shutdown-> Global: No Interface Name-> Global: ge0/0 IPv4 Address-> Static-> Device Specific

Now configure the Tunnel as given (Tunnel Interface-> Global: On Color-> Global Default)

Here we are on Allow Service select the parameters as given (All-> Global: On BGP-> Global: On NETCONF-> Global: On SSH-> Global: On)

Now click on update to continue.

Here is our VPN Interface Template for VPN0 for interface Ge0/0 is created.

Configure a BGP Template for VPN0 to be used by HQ vEdge1 with the following parameters these are given in task.

This is the path to create the Template Setting>Configuration >Templates >Feature >vEdge Cloud >OTHER TEMPLATES >BGP Interface Ethernet.

Enter the details as given Template Name: HQ-VE-BGP-VPN0 Description: HQ-VE-BGP-VPN0

Select the parameters as Shutdown-> Global: No AS Number->Global: 65001

Now select the Neighbour parameters as Address->Global: 10.1.1.2 Remote AS->Global: 65001 Address Family->Global: On Address Family->Global: IPv4-Unicast.click on save to continue

Here we are able to see our BGP Template for VPN0 is created.
