This SD-WAN lab practical will show you how to configure Feature Templates for OSPF for VPN0. You can practice along with this practical using our SD-WAN virtual lab.
1. Configure a Service VPN Template with the following parameters for Branch vEdge cloud devices
● Template Name: BR-VE-VPN-VPN1
● Description: BR-VE-VPN-VPN1-Description
● Basic Information
✓ VPN -> Global: 1
✓ Name -> Global: Data VPN
2. Configure VPN1 Interface Template with the following parameters to be used by all Branch vEdge cloud devices for Interface G0/2
● Template Name: BR-VE-VPNINT-VPN1-G2
● Description: BR-VE-VPNINT-VPN1-G2-Description
● Basic Configuration
✓ Shutdown-> Global: No
✓ Interface Name-> Global: Ge0/2
✓ IPv4 Address-> Static-> Device Specific
3. Configure OSPF Template with the following parameters to be used by all Branch vEdge cloud devices for VPN1
● Template Name: BR-VE-OSPF-VPN1
● Description: BR-VE-OSPF-VPN1-Description
● Area Configuration
Area Number ➔ Global: 0
✓ Area Type ➔ Default
Interface Configuration-> Interface Name: Ge0/2
● Redistribution
✓ Protocol: OMP
To create service VPN template, go to vManage and navigate to configuration-> Templates-> Feature and click on Add Template.
On the left plane scroll down and select vEdge Cloud under select Devices and then on right plane select VPN to configure the Service VPN1 template
Here fill the values of template name, description, and other values as per required in the tasks and leave all other values as default. Click on Save to continue
VPN1 template has been created and can be seen here with other templates
Now create service VPN interface template, go to vManage and navigate to configuration-> Templates-> Feature and click on Add Template
On the left plane scroll down and select vEdge Cloud under select Devices and then on right plane select VPN Interface Ethernet under VPN to configure the Service VPN1 interface template
Here fill the values of template name, description, and other values as per required in the tasks and leave all other values as default.
Scroll down under basic configuration, select Static and IP address as device specific and click save to continue
Service VPN1 interface template has not been created and can be seen along with other templates
Now create OSPF template for VPN1 to be used by vEdge Cloud devices, on vManage, navigate to configuration-> Templates-> Feature and click on Add Template
On the left plane scroll down and select vEdge Cloud under select Devices and then on right plane scroll down and select OSPF under other templates to configure the OSPF for Service VPN1
Fill the values of OSPF template name and description as per task requirement
Go to redistribution section and click on New Redistribution
Here you can choose protocol as OMP to redistribute OMP into OSPF and click on Add to continue
Go to Area section and click on New Area
Enter OSPF area 0 and area type is default. Click on Add Interface
Provide the value Ge0/2 for interface and click on Add to continue
Interface Ge0/2 is added in OSPF area configuration and be below now click on Add again to continue
Click on Save to continue
Here you can see that OSPF template is created for VPN1
