By the time of the launch of the company, AWS has gained popularity all over the world due to its quality services with cost-management advantage. AWS came up with the concept of pay-only-for-what-you-use which meant that the consumers are supposed to pay only for the infrastructure and service range they use. When stating AWS certifications, AWS provides several certifications that validate different skill sets of different domains. Following are the 5 specialty certifications offered by AWS:-

1.  AWS Certified Machine Learning

This specialty certification validates the skills of the candidates who have the eligibility to deal with Data science concepts. It provides validation to candidates who can deploy, design, manage, maintain and implement machine learning. In today’s online world, machine learning is the backbone of inventions and innovations. Data science is helping professionals to develop methods that can make the operations and methods more and more reliable and easy.

An AWS Certified Machine Learning personnel is capable of:-

Selecting and justifying the appropriate ML approach to make the operations easier and solving the issues in them.

Identification of appropriate AWS services to implement ML solutions for a better approach.

Design and implement scalable, cost-optimized, reliable, and secure ML solutions

Prerequisites for this certification:-

There is no formal prerequisite for the certification, but the following knowledge is expected from the candidate.

1-2 years of experience developing, architecting, or running ML/deep learning workloads on the AWS Cloud

The ability to express the intuition behind basic ML algorithms

Experience performing basic hyperparameter optimization

Experience with ML and deep learning frameworks

The ability to follow model-training best practices

The ability to follow deployment and operational best practices

2.  AWS Certified Advanced Networking

This certification is for those who want to validate their skills related to networking. It tests the individuals on the high complexity of Networking concepts that are required to design and manage the whole networking operations.

An AWS Certified Advanced Networking personnel is capable of:-

Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS

Implement core AWS services according to basic architecture best practices

Design and maintain network architecture for all AWS services

Leverage tools to automate AWS networking tasks

Prerequisites for this certification:-

There is no formal prerequisite for the certification, but the following knowledge is expected from the candidate.

Advanced knowledge of AWS networking concepts and technologies

Minimum five years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing network solutions

Advanced networking architectures and interconnectivity options (e.g., IP VPN, MPLS/VPLS)

Networking technologies within the OSI model, and how they affect implementation decisions

Development of automation scripts and tools

CIDR and subnetting (IPv4 and IPv6)

IPv6 transition challenges

Generic solutions for network security features, including WAF, IDS, IPS, DDoS protection, and Economic Denial of Service/Sustainability (EDoS)

3.  AWS Certified Data Analytics

A certified personnel in Data Analytics is capable of designing, implementing, maintaining and managing Analytics solutions which lead to a better user experience with cost-effective and secure solutions.

An AWS Certified Data Analytics personnel is capable of:-

Define AWS data analytics services and understand how they integrate

Explain how AWS data analytics services fit in the data life cycle of collection, storage, processing, and visualization     

Prerequisites for this certification:-

At least 5 years of experience with data analytics technologies

At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with AWS

Experience and expertise working with AWS services to design, build, secure, and maintain analytics solutions

4.  AWS Certified Security

With the increasing cyber crimes, the need for security professionals have also increased a lot, following this trail, AWS certified Security Specialty is capable of providing security to the data of the organizations from external threats.

An AWS Certified Security personnel is capable of:-

An understanding of specialized data classifications and AWS data protection mechanisms

An understanding of data encryption methods and AWS mechanisms to implement them

An understanding of secure Internet protocols and AWS mechanisms to implement them

Working knowledge of AWS security services and features of services to provide a secure production environment

Competency gained from two or more years of production deployment experience using AWS security services and features

The ability to make tradeoff decisions concerning cost, security, and deployment complexity is given a set of application requirements

An understanding of security operations and risk.

Prerequisites for this certification:-

At least two years of hands-on experience securing AWS workloads

Security controls for workloads on AWS

A minimum of five years of IT security experience designing and implementing security solutions

5.  AWS Certified Database

The candidate qualifying for this certification gets the validation of his/her skills for managing the databases on AWS tools to deliver the best possible user experience by resolving database errors.

An AWS Certified Database personnel is capable of:-

Understand and differentiate the key features of AWS database services

Analyze needs and requirements to recommend and design appropriate database solutions using AWS services

Prerequisites for this certification:-

At least 5 years of experience with database technologies

At least 2 years of hands-on experience working on AWS

Experience and expertise working with on-premises and AWS-Cloud-based relational and nonrelational databases
